Abbiamo raccolto di seguito in questa pagina i link - per il download dai server ufficiali Microsoft - degli aggiornamenti dei Sistemi Operativi Windows che MS ha rilasciato per eliminare la vulnerabilità (cfr. Microsoft Security Bulletin MS17-010 - Critical) utilizzata dai creatori del ransomware WannaCrypt, in alcuni casi indicato anche come WannaCry o Wanna o Wcry, al fine di conseguire la propagazione del virus.
Microsoft ha reso disponibili tali aggiornamenti nel corso del mese di marzo 2017 per tutti i Sistemi Operativi Windows supportati. Per le varie edizioni degli OS Windows XP, Windows 8 e Windows Server 2003, i quali non sono più supportati ufficialmente dallo sviluppatore, il gigante di Redmond ha rilasciato eccezionalmente gli update del caso il 13 maggio 2017 per limitare l'estensione dell'attacco attuato mediante WannaCrypt.
